2013 Plans

I am staring at my blog and realize I haven't really posted in month. So this is changing that. Since Deception Pass, I spent some time off, just running when I felt like it. I didn't necessarily follow any training plan. I also ended up going home to NY for a week and ended up consuming copious amounts of sugar and carbs, as my Mom really does an amazing job with baking things that taste fantastic (but aren't necessarily good for you).  I'm pretty sure I would be five to ten pounds heavier, if my family didn't live across the country.

January has included me getting back to training, and included some 'Fat Ass' runs on Tiger Mountain and in Capitol Forest. FYI, Fat Ass runs consist of 'no frills' runs in the woods. Water is usually provided, maybe doughnuts at the end, maybe tequila shots at the halfway point, you just never know. Lots of fun.

Diet
I've been prescribing to a 'tweaked' version of the Paleo diet most of the time. I consume lots of fat, moderate amounts of protein, and somewhat strategic implementation of carbs.

Races
I'm currently looking for a 100 miler to race. I plan on applying to the Cascade Crest lottery first. If I don't get in, I'm planning on entering the Pine to Palm 100. Both are in later summer.

I have my first 100K in California (Miwok 100K) in early May. So everything until then will be in preparation for that.

Everything else will be fun/training races. I plan on running one of the Sun Mountain races with my Dad in May.
